delicious Moong Dal Soup

Ingredients
1/2 cup moong dal (peeled)1 tsp ghee or coconut oil1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder1/2 tsp ginger (grated)1 pinch asafoetida
3-4 cups waterSalt to tasteFresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Recipe Step By Step
Step 1
Wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, turmeric, ginger and asafoetida and fry it.
Step 3
Add the soaked dal and fry it for 2-3 minutes
Step 4
Add water and salt and let it boil. Then cook on low flame for 20-25 minutes.
Step 5
Serve hot and garnish with fresh coriander leaves
