Makarasana (Crocodile Pose)

Lie prone join the elbows of both the hands, make a stand and place the palms under the chin. Lift the chest up, keep the elbows and legs together. While inhaling, first fold one leg at a time and then both the legs together, While folding, the heels should touch the buttocks, while exhaling, the legs should be straight. This process is called as Makarasana (Crocodile Pose). Repeat it 20 to 25 times.

Benefits

  • This āsana is beneficial in slipped disc (dissemblance of the spinal vertebrae), cervical spondylitis (pain in the neck and on its back side) and sciatica (pain in the buttocks).
