Gomukhasana

Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose)

Sit in dandasana, fold the left leg and place the left ankle near the right hip. Alternatively one can also sit on the ankle, fold the right leg and place it above the left leg in such a way that both the knees should touch each other. Lift the right hand and bend it back and take the left hand behind the back to hold the right hand, keep the back and the neck straight. After doing it for almost a minute from one side do the same from the other side as well, this whole process is called Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose).

Benefit

Especially beneficial in hydrocele (enlargement of testicles) and sexual disorders. Useful in gynaecological problems, rheumatoid arthritis and gout, it also strengthens the liver, lungs, kidney and chest.
